Last May, PhD candidate Celia Rodríguez Tejuca was inducted as a Junior Fellow of the prestigious Andrew W. Mellon Society of Fellows in Critical Bibliography (SoFCB), based at Rare Book School (University of Virginia).

The induction took place during the Society’s Annual Meeting, held this year at the University of Pennsylvania. The event brings together an interdisciplinary community of scholars, librarians, and curators committed to the critical study of material texts. As part of the program, Celia also presented a portion of her current research, contributing to the ongoing dialogue around the material and cultural histories of textual artifacts.

As a Junior Fellow, Celia gains access to Rare Book School courses with full tuition support, funding for public programming, and opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth within a vibrant scholarly network.
